Villa Edunia was named after the American and Brazilian contemporary artist, Eduardo Kac, whose work features prominently throughout the villa. There’s a botanical feel to his art, and the design of the home also reflects that sensibility with splendid integration into its natural surroundings. Luxurious, elegant, and chic, this is a great choice for a St. Barts getaway. Situated high in the hills of Lurin next to Gustavia, Villa Edunia enjoys breathtaking sunsets and wonderful ocean views. The island breezes wash through the home, creating a soothing environment for relaxing. The villa is a 3-minute drive from Shell Beach and Gustavia, and 5 minutes from Gouverneur Beach. Built on two levels, the villa provides ample space for a family or couples vacationing together. The large main room, with the kitchen and living room, can be closed off and air-conditioned or fully opened on both sides to create an enticing cross breeze. The space features warm wood tones and lively Caribbean colors. The beautiful living room features a wonderful style, with unique red and white rattan sofas for relaxing. There are several artworks on the wall, while the large sliding doors frame endless sea views. The entire space is wrapped up in the effortless St. Barts elegance, encouraging you to let down your hair and unwind. The kitchen at Villa Edunia features a minimalist design, with all the high-end appliances you’ll need to whip up gourmet meals. Our concierge is also happy to organize special evenings, from in-villa wine tastings to a visit from one of the island’s best chefs. The dining table inside is made from a weathered wood, a rustic and beautiful piece for meals with family and friends. A second table outside on the terrace immerses you in the sea views, making for an excellent pairing for a gourmet dinner or Caribbean-style barbecue. There are 4 bedrooms at Villa Edunia, each welcoming plenty of natural island light and with sea views. Soft linens and high-end furnishings make these rooms ideal for recharging after a long day exploring St. Barts. There are three bedrooms on either side of the pool and the fourth room on the lower floor. All four bedrooms come with a U.S. king-sized bed or a pair of twins, a spacious dressing area, and an ensuite bathroom with a shower. There are two outdoor areas at Villa Edunia. The first is the garden space in the rear, featuring rustic stone walls and a lush lawn for relaxing. Here, the grill area makes for a great spot to entertain guests, with a seating area as well. The main outdoor space is on the other side of the villa, facing those incredible sea views. The heated infinity pool is the star of the show, inviting you in for a dip at any time of day and offering panoramic views over the sparkling Caribbean below. There are plenty of loungers as well, ideal for sunbathing, reading, or watching the spectacular sunsets.
