Castaway to Villa Kyody (villa code: WV KDY), a 2-bedroom villa located in Marigot within minutes of several beaches and restaurants. Nestled in the hillside above Grand Cul-de-Sac Bay, this villa has lovely views of the Caribbean and the offshore island of La Tortue. The interiors feature arched doors and windows, wooden accents, and beautiful stonework. Elegant island furnishings and local artwork help give the home the atmosphere of a South American tropical hideaway. Secluded amongst the lush foliage, Villa Kyody offers peerless privacy in one of St. Barts’ more tranquil neighborhoods. Beaches and restaurants at Grand Cul-de-Sac Bay are just a 10-minute walk away. As soon as you enter Villa Kyody you’re greeted with the spacious living room. Plush sofas and elegant wooden furnishings make it a great place to relax. Through the windows, you can glimpse the glimmering Caribbean and undulating hills surrounding the bay. Doors open towards the terrace and pool deck, letting you wash the entire space with natural light and cooling sea breezes. If you’re after something a bit cozier, Villa Kyody also features a lovely reading room upstairs. A bookshelf has a large variety of novels to read, right next to a soft daybed ideal for getting lost in a story. Connected to the living room is Villa Kyody’s well-equipped galley kitchen. The cabinets clad in tropical wood and views of the lush foliage from the window will inspire you to experiment with the local flavors. To make things even easier, our concierge can organize grocery pre-stocking or delivery, catered meals, or arrange private chef service for a special occasion. When it’s time to dine, a separate dining room is next to the living room. A rounded wooden table has seating for up to 8 guests, making it a fabulous spot for an elegant dinner party. Open-air dining is also available at Villa Kyody. Next to the dining room is a charming cobblestone patio, with an oriental-inspired low-lying table for dining. Next to the living room is another outdoor dining table, this one with space for 6 guests overlooking the ocean. The master bedroom is located on the main floor and accessed via a hallway off the living room. This comfortable room features a king-sized bed with mosquito netting and a spacious ensuite bathroom. Ascending upstairs leads you to the second bedroom. This space also has a king-sized bed and ensuite bathroom, as well as stunning views over the shimmering Caribbean. The outdoor spaces at Villa Kyody wrap around the length of the property. From everywhere, you can admire the emerald hills sloping gently down to meet the turquoise water at Grand Cul-de-Sac. A wooden and stone deck surrounds the unique, hand-cut slate pool. The water retains the warmth of the morning sun throughout the day, making it a great spot to enjoy a swim. Loungers are ideal for soaking up the island rays. If the open water is more your style, then the beaches at both Marigot Bay and Grand Cul-de-Sac are a 10-minute walk down the hill. As the day comes to a close, a covered lounge area is the best seat in the house to enjoy a cocktail as you watch the sunset over the hills. During the Thanksgiving and December holidays, the villa rents at the full occupancy rate regardless of how many bedrooms are used.
