Positioned within steps of the silky sands, this villa enjoys wonderful ocean views and is within a 10-minute drive of both St. Jean and Gustavia.   Villa La Maison de la Mer was created when three old St. Barts houses were regrouped together, creating one of the most unique layouts for a vacation home on the island. Fully updated and renovated, expect stylish and luxurious interiors, elegant décor, and spaces that are seemingly lifted straight from the pages of an interior design magazine. Enjoying an enviable position on the shores of Flamands Beach, Villa La Maison de la Mer is well located for a luxurious beachfront getaway. It’s a short walk to the famous Cheval Blanc Hotel with its restaurants and spa, while just around the corner is the popular local restaurant “La Langouste”. The unique layout of Villa La Maison de la Mer makes this contemporary home one to remember. While there’s not exactly a formal living room, the open-plan design makes it so that the spaces are ideal for gathering. Inside and out, sleek finishes and sweeping views over Flamands Bay are impressive. The kitchen at Villa La Maison de la Mer doubles as the main indoor gathering space, opening on several sides to further social areas. There’s a total of 6 bedrooms at Villa La Maison de la Mer, with an optional seventh that’s more suited to teenagers or live-in staff. There are four master suites, each with a different layout, although all with gorgeous ocean views. Two are on the main level, both with spacious ensuite bathrooms. The other two are on the upper level directly above. Both have ensuite bathrooms as well, while private terraces with loungers overlook the ocean below. Two guest rooms are located off a hallway behind the kitchen. Each comes with an ensuite bathroom and looks into an inner courtyard. The seventh bedroom is above the entrance. All the bedrooms come with a King-sized bed. Life in the Caribbean is meant to be lived outside, and it’s here where Villa La Maison de la Mer shines. Sun-dappled terraces, sweeping ocean views, and plenty of privacy make it a pleasure to lounge away a day here. The large, covered terrace features a beautiful outdoor lounge, overlooking the villa’s heated swimming pool.  An additional sun deck on the upper level provides even more opportunities to sunbathe and relax, taking in the shimmering water.
