Villa Matajagui is all about the good life in the Caribbean. The elegant living spaces give way to sun-dappled terraces, where the ocean views are breathtaking. Inside is airy and cool, with contemporary furnishings and minimal décor providing comfort and a pared-back style. Awash with a tranquil atmosphere, it’s an idyllic spot for an island getaway. Villa Matajagui is built on the hillside above Flamands Beach, offering sweeping views of the ocean, the surrounding mountains, and offshore islands. The sand is a short walk away, while all the amenities you could want, from shopping to fine dining, are within a short drive. Spread over two levels, Villa Matajagui enjoys an open-plan design and interior spaces that open wide to the outdoor terraces. The main area of the home is on the second floor, with a living room, dining area, and kitchen sharing one airy space. The living room enjoys sleek white sofas, modern and cool. They’re the ideal spot to sink in and unwind, perhaps popping open a bottle of champagne or settling in with a good book. Large doors slide open to the outdoor terrace, enhancing the airy atmosphere of the space thanks to those panoramic views. Villa Matajagui’s kitchen, which is located at the rear of the second level, is well-equipped with stainless steel appliances. Cooking here is a real pleasure; there’s even a pass-through window and bar leading to the outdoor terrace. It makes it easy to pass through plates when you decide to dine alfresco, with a table under the covered area of the terrace enjoying fabulous views and fresh breezes. Inside, another dining space is also a fantastic setting for sharing meals with family and friends. Descending downstairs brings you to Villa Matajagui’s 2 bedrooms. Contemporary décor and dark wooden furnishings make these tranquil oases, with a calming atmosphere ideal for rest. The bedrooms are of equal size, and both come with elegant, four-poster king-sized beds. The rooms also have air-conditioning, ensuite bathrooms with double vanities, and shared terrace space with views. Back upstairs, the outdoor terrace at Villa Matajagui is the ideal space for lazy days spent in the island sun. Guests can enjoy sunbathing on the loungers, or a refreshing dip in the villa’s idyllic infinity pool – a fantastic way to start the day.
