Expect vaulted ceilings above, beautiful shutters and French doors, and a layout that draws you outside at every turn. This is a St. Barts villa designed for carefree, barefoot living – ideal for an island getaway. With a fabulous and enviable location in the hills of Lurin above Gustavia, Villa Mes Amis is also blessed with year-round sunsets and panoramic views of the town below and offshore islands. There are several beaches within a short drive, and Gustavia below enjoys a wealth of fantastic shopping and dining opportunities. The long layout of Villa Mes Amis ensures that all the living spaces and bedrooms have panoramic views. At the center of it all is the spacious great room, with a collection of graceful furniture and vibrant décor. In the great room is the living area, decorated with wooden furnishings, tumbled marble floors, and French blue sofas with yellow accents. Tropical plants on the sideboards and sofa tables enhance the traditional West Indies ambiance, making this an idyllic spot to relax. At the back of the great room is the kitchen at Villa Mes Amis. Well equipped for cooking everything from easy meals to gourmet feasts, it’s a pleasure to cook in this space. Our concierge is also available to organize things like in-villa wine tastings or even a private chef for an evening. The main dining table is outside the living room, enjoying a shady spot on the covered terrace. With views like these, you’ll be hard-pressed to pass up a chance to dine here. But doing their best to tempt you into town is a range of fantastic restaurants in Gustavia. There are a total of 4 bedrooms at Villa Mes Amis, with two in the main building, and two sharing a separate bungalow. The master suite is next to the living room, featuring a lavish four-poster king-sized bed, an ensuite bathroom with an outdoor shower, and a private terrace. The second bedroom is much the same except without the outdoor shower. The bedroom bungalow is accessible from the outside, either from the long terrace or through the lush villa gardens. One bedroom has a four-poster king-sized bed, while the other has a pair of twin beds. Both have an ensuite bathroom as well. The expansive outdoor terraces at Villa Mes Amis have amazing panoramic views from every corner. Whether you’re sipping a morning coffee or spending a day by the pool, you’ll appreciate the stunning setting, with island breezes washing over the entire space. The covered terrace enjoys an outdoor living area, with rattan sofas and chairs facing the ocean view. As the afternoon fades, it’s an idyllic setting for a cocktail hour, watching as the golden glow unfolds across the sea and sky. To the right, a second dining area with a built-in grill is underneath a gazebo, overlooking the long, heated swimming pool. The infinity edge seemingly melts into the shimmering Caribbean Sea below, while palm trees sway in the gentle breeze, creating an island melody for a chilled-out day lounging in the pool and sunbathing on the loungers. During the December holidays, the villa rents at the full occupancy rate regardless of how many bedrooms are used.
