Welcome to Villa Olive (villa code: WV ECO), a modern 4-bedroom villa located in Gouverneur, St. Barts. Nestled in the hills above the bay, this villa offers panoramic views over St-Jean and is within minutes of the beach and shopping. Built into volcanic rock, Villa Olive features a lovely blend of teak walkways, sculptural stone walls, and desert gardens. Spread over a series of grand pavilions, the interiors are a sublime mix of minimalist architecture and eye-catching design, the work of celebrated St. Barts’ architect François Pécard. It’s not only the design that’s pleasing at Villa Olive but its location as well. The beaches at Gouverneur and Saline are both just a short drive away, while shops and restaurants in Gustavia are less than 10 minutes away by car. For even more space, Villa Olive can be rented with one or two of the “sister” villas in this private compound; Villa Rose (villa code: WV ECG) and Villa Jasmine (villa code: WV EGO). When combined, this luxurious estate offers a total of 12 bedrooms. The main pavilion at Olive Villa features two wings on either side of a central entryway. To the left is the living room, and to the right is the kitchen and dining area. Chic and stylish, both rooms have glassware décor on open shelves, handsome wooden accents, and incredible ocean views. The living room enjoys soft white sofas beige ottomans and armchairs. A large woven rug adds texture and an island flair. Large glass doors open towards the outdoor terrace and sweeping views, bathing the space in natural light. On the other side of the main pavilion is Villa Olive’s well-equipped kitchen. Cooking here is a pleasure; chef-caliber appliances can handle any culinary challenge thrown their way. Our concierge can organize grocery pre-stocking or delivery, catered meals, or arrange private chef service for a special occasion. Sharing the space is the dining room table, letting you stay social while cooking or watching your private chef at work. There’s space for 10 guests at the wooden table, while a second dining table with views over the water is outside on the deck. Covered teak walkways lead you past landscaped gardens toward the bedroom suites. There are two on either side of the property, ensuring each guest has a tranquil and private space to retreat to each evening. Each spacious room features a king-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom with dual rainfall showers. Striking black-and-white photography adorning the walls adds a modern flair. Blending with the chic architecture of the villa, the outdoor living spaces are a real pleasure to spend time in. Palm trees rustle in the wind, while the landscaped gardens echo the feel of a rugged, tropical desert. A large, heated infinity pool is a stunning feature, seemingly spilling over into the valley below. From its edge, you can enjoy uninterrupted views over the landscape towards the crystalline waters of St. Jean. Loungers lining the water are the ideal setting for basking in the island sun. A cushioned lounge area is a fabulous spot for an island-style soiree. A wet bar next to the kitchen lets you mix up a punchy tropical cocktail or pop open some champagne to toast to your vacation on St. Barts. On either end of the property past the bedrooms is a private lounging area. Furnished with soft sofas, it’s a quiet place to settle in with a good book or enjoy the ocean views. When it’s time to venture out, the famous beaches at Gouverneur and Saline are both 5 minutes away by car.
